Historical background
Community Based Conservation Training Centre (CBCTC) - Likuyu Sekamaganga is among training Institutions managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism under Wildlife Division. It was established in July 1995 as a result of joint effort of the United Republic of Tanzania (Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism) in collaboration with The Federal Republic of Germany (under Gtz). The Centre is registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) with registration number REG/SAT/46.
Aim of its Establishment
To implement the National Wildlife Policy which emphasizes Community participation in Conservation and sustainable utilization of Natural resources for poverty alleviation and sustainable development.
